With so much communication being done online almost everyone has an email address. It is not uncommon that your first communications with a potential employer will be done through email.
Here are a few things to keep in mind
- Your email address IS NOT www.yourname@website.com, the www is not used in email addresses.
- Be sure to give your full email address yourname@website isn't good enough; remember there are .com, .net, .org, .biz and hundreds of other extensions out there.
- bigbob789@sillyname.com might be ok when emailing your friends but it will give the wrong impression on your potential employer. There are a lot of free email services out there (yahoo.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com) and your Internet Service Provider should also offer you a free email. Be sure to pick something that is professional and simple.
